Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra, a highly-rated and functional Gen 4 robotic vacuum and mop is a well-built machine. The price of $1400 could be a bit steep, but it is often on sale to make it more affordable. The unit looks fantastic and the base station takes up just a small space in the corner of a room.
The design of this robot is a solution to some problems we've encountered with other robotic mops and vacuum cleaners, such as brushes that get tangled up in hair, and the vacuum brush not being able enough to reach the flooring beneath furniture. The ability to sweep carpets and bare floors is also impressive. The vacuum/mop features an excellent level of debris collection and the mop is able to quickly soak up bare floors.
The mops utilize a clever system that cleans the edges of walls, and around furniture. The robot can handle the largest obstacles such as food bowls, toys, shoes, and backpacks with any difficulty. But it can become stuck or entangled with smaller and flatter objects such as shoelaces, USB cables and pen.
This robot was used to mop and vacuum hardwood floors FLOR carpet tiles, as well as pile rugs in a huge open-plan home. It vacuumed and mops the 90m2 space in 170 minutes, with FREO Mind enabled. This is about average for Gen 4 robots.
This robot is distinguished by a variety of characteristics. Freo X Ultra is equipped with numerous improvements in terms of sensors, software and hardware to keep it ahead of its class. It claims 3.5 hours of autonomy in areas up to 260m2.

Miele Scout RX3
Miele is a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the field of robot vacuuming. The new Miele robot is designed to elevate the cleaning performance to a whole new level, with its innovative features.
The RX3 features a dual-suction technology, intelligent mapping with 3D mapping, and a camera which transmits an image in real-time to your smartphone. The RX3's robust four-stage system is excellent for dust collection on hard floors and carpets. Side brushes that can be swung out with dual suction channels, and easy-to-use controls keep corners clean. The 8.5 cm height means it can get under low furniture, while front cameras and infrared sensors assist it navigate obstacles and thresholds easily.
The Scout RX3 impressed us in our tests on how well it was able to clean baking powder from corners and baseboards. Its suction of 2,500Pa was weaker than the other robots, however it was still silent and moved swiftly. It didn't clean, however and its cleaning pads were a bit difficult to attach and could not deal with dried-on dirt.
Its app lacks advanced features like multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It works with Alexa however its voice commands don't seem to be very clear or responsive. It's also a little erratic when it comes back to the charging station after an exercise. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow a previous route however, the RX3 bumbles around until it gives up.
We also encountered issues with the smart features of the device, namely its mapping feature and the digital stay-out zones. While it did a decent job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs, it got easily caught by cables and socks and it was not able to manage the tassels on rug. This is the reason we decided not to include it on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth looking into as an alternative to traditional uprights.
